Our Flagship Development

Juniper Springs, Colorado

A Living Model for Regenerative Community

Mission

Juniper Springs will be Common Grounding’s flagship community, a living prototype for the regenerative villages of the future. Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Crawford, Colorado, this pioneering project will integrate sustainable development, cooperative business structures, shared living amenities, and a thriving culture of creativity, innovation, and land stewardship. It will serve as both a home and a learning hub, demonstrating what’s possible when a community is designed with ecological harmony, economic resilience, and human connection at its core.

A Cooperative Model for Sustainable Prosperity

Juniper Springs will operate under a cooperative business structure, ensuring that ownership, governance, and financial benefits are distributed among residents and contributors. Through shared equity models, revenue-generating community enterprises, and decentralized decision-making, we will create a replicable framework for economic self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability.

The Creativity Campus: Innovation & Expression

At the heart of Juniper Springs will be a Creativity Campus, where residents and guests will explore arts, design, making, and regenerative technologies. This space will provide:

Shared Cohousing & Amenities:
Thriving with Less

Rather than isolated private ownership, Juniper Springs will embrace a cohousing model, where residents will have access to private dwellings while sharing thoughtfully designed community spaces. This will allow for a higher quality of life with lower costs and environmental impact. Shared amenities will include:

By pooling resources, residents will enjoy a more abundant, efficient, and socially connected lifestyle than conventional housing allows.

Including:

  • A central common house with kitchen, dining, and lounge areas.

  • Bathhouses, laundry, and wellness spaces.

  • Coworking and collaboration hubs.

  • Recreational and gathering spaces.

  • A library, tool library, and makerspace.

This approach will foster food security, ecological restoration, and intergenerational knowledge-sharing, ensuring a vibrant and resilient community.

  • Agroecology & Permaculture – Teaching food forest design, soil regeneration, and climate-resilient agriculture.

  • Animal Husbandry – Integrating livestock into regenerative systems for food, fiber, and land management.

  • Food Processing & Culinary Arts – Supporting a farm-to-table culture through shared kitchens and workshops.

A Scalable & Replicable Model for the Future

Juniper Springs will not just be a single village—it will be a proof of concept for the broader vision of Common Grounding. Every system, structure, and social model developed here will be replicable, adaptable, and expandable to future projects worldwide. By testing and refining best practices, we will build a roadmap for community-driven sustainability that will empower others to create their own regenerative villages.

Juniper Springs will be a living invitation—a place where regenerative living is not just an idea, but a daily reality. Whether you’re looking to visit, invest, learn, or join as a resident, this project will offer a rare opportunity to step into the future of community, sustainability, and shared prosperity.
